Interactive Audio Video Gameplay

The five minute video shows a walkthrough of each location, and most of the hotspots within. Each location only lasts about 30-40 seconds, with time for the listeners to hear the sounds properly without dialogue. Some sections of the project have a voiceover explaining parts of the project talking over it. The video starts in the sitemap and after a brief voiceover explaining the project, moves to the Cramond location. The video stays on the boats location for about 10 seconds, looking around showing the footage and allowing all of the nearby sounds to play, before moving to the shoreline location. During this time, no voiceover is heard so that the listeners can take in the sound design choices. While in the shoreline location, again, the camera looks around showing the footage and allows for the user to take in the audio. While moving between the shoreline and boats location again, the voiceover narrates the implementation of the hotspots, which explains how Unity allows the player to change location freely. Then, the video goes to the waterfall hotspot, and after another 10 seconds. When the video moves to the Botanics location, the voiceover briefly introduces the location before returning to silence to let the gameplay run. Both the pergola and bridge location play without any interruption, and when the footage goes back into the pergola and to the waterfall, the voiceover explains how the audio was implemented and created using an ambisonic microphone. Then, the final hotspot video plays and the audio does too. After that, the voice over talks about implementing the music in the SiteMap area and briefly shows the section in Unity which highlights this. Then, the voiceover introduces the next location, Murrayfield Park, and goes back to silence when the clip begins to play. After this, the voiceover does not talk for the rest of the video except at the end. After the river hotspot is played in full, the Cells of life location is loaded, and shown to the listener. Following that, the Weeping girls location is loaded and the footage shows that as well, ensuring that the sounds of the statues are shown. Finally, the Firmament location is shown. After that, the voiceover explains that this is the project in its entirety. The video provides a means for people to view the project and gain an understanding of the implementation of the project, without making the viewer feel uninterested or overwhelmed. The video is uploaded onto an online blog, which is provided through a link that is published in the technical notes for the project. The video is provided below via YouTube.
